'Madeleine Strings Ukeleles' sounded like a fun undertaking, so we decided to offer these hand-built instruments in all 4 ukulele sizes: Soprano, Concert, Tenor, and Baritone. The very first instrument built in this range was this tiny Soprano-sized uke.

Studio California gave this tiny prototype instrument the full deluxe treatment, with "checkerboard" purfling, varnished Bubinga radiused fretboard with crushed mother-of-pearl fret markers, a special gold "Teardrop" pickguard, bound neck, and Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A Deep Aquaglo finish calls to mind the lovely Pacific Ocean that surrounds Hawai'i—the original home to this very portable and minimal instrument.
