BURGUNDYGLO 1966 330 RESTORATION

This was a straight-forward restoration of a vintage semi-hollow bodied Rickenbacker, in a rare medium Burgundyglo paint finish. Because Burgundyglo was a translucent finish, the color of guitars sprayed in this shade could vary from a deep Eggplant to a lighter tint that was nearly cherry red in bright light: it depended upon how many coats of the translucent color were sprayed. This is a beautiful, simple classic Rickenbacker--no bells or whistles--and the basic lines and details certainly stand on their own. The slim headstock is especially elegant on these earlier models.
