This guitar began life as a 380 6-string model, in Walnut, without the piezo option. Its owner, Tim Rock, a marine photographer and musician who lives on the tiny Pacific island of Guam, wanted a 12-string that made an artistic statement about the sea. Studio California did the 12-string conversion, Craig Lavin of Florida created the incredible inlay word, then we shaded the finish at the edges and applied our bulletproof catalyzing clear coat. We also added a piezo pickup and rewired the guitar to allow using the piezo and electric pickups together, and to adjust the balance between the two outputs.
